Free, Virtual Craft Classes

Do you love attending craft classes? I sure do! Recently, I have registered and attended lots of free, virtual craft classes. I knew about the classes at Michaels but was happily surprised to discover classes on Eventbrite and Meet Up.

Meet Up

Eventbrite offers lots of free, online events.

Meet Up has lots of options, too. I am doing a weekly drawing class through Meet Up.

These classes are a great way to expand your craft abilities and meet some other creative people. Thanks to Zoom and similar formats these classes also give us a way to see and connect with others in live video. But if you missed the class, most are recorded.

Take a look at a few of them! These classes were at Michael's.

Explosion Box with Paige Evans at Michael's
She showed how to decorate this box for a birthday. So cute!

Jessie of Plaid Paints at Michael's
She used paints to make the boho floral painting. The butterfly is coming up this week.

Kathi with General Pencil at Michael's
She did a terrific drawing tutorial with tips and tricks.

Yarn Tulip Painting with Michael's
Marla used a piece of yarn in the paints to create the flowers.

I have have filled my week with these classes and it has been a joy.  Hope you all join the fun especially if you want to learn something new. Be inspired!

The title of this story is called, "Vice President Harris is Making Her Mark on the Washington-Area Crochet Scene" by Jura Koncius. Article Link HERE I enjoyed reading this article and seeing the craft community get some well deserved national attention. Take a look at this story and see what you think. If you need some knitting or crochet resources, check our my "Fiber Arts" page here on Inspired Me 411. Welcome to Inspired Me 411! Here's a question, would you rather wash dishes or craft???? My hand is up for CRAFTING!!!! Do you ever feel like spending time doing arts and crafts is "lollygagging"  or wasting time? During this global pandemic, most of us are busy cooking, cleaning, home schooling, working and other tasks. We are all in need of some personal play time especially now, right? When I am at my art table, I feel peaceful and that result has been good enough for me. But as I was doing some research, I discovered much, much more was happening in my body and mind.
