What is Inspired Me 411?
It is a free resource directory for arts, crafts and other creative expressions. This site is my personal collection of creative information or 411 that has helped and inspired me in my craft journey. You can Google and find anything these days but my site already sorts through the mass of information and gives you a few quality places to start.
The information is organized by category and in a list format. These lists will be updated as I find more helpful sites. I will post NEW by all newer sites. Also, I will blog about interesting or just fun things I discover.
Who can use this site?
Everyone! For those of you who are new to the creative world, an experienced pro, or wherever you are in your journey. I hope this directory helps you with new ventures or your current activities.
Why did I start this blog?
In 2020, I started Inspired Me 411 to provide information and inspiration for those interested in creative activities.
I remember in 2006 when I first started making greeting cards, it was a struggle to find good resources. It wasn't until I stumbled across this awesome papercrafting site that my whole world opened up. That site really helped me grow and exposed me to other related crafts, classes and new friends. I was excited to see how these resources assisted me and I hope will create a spark in others, too.
Remember, the crafts I have listed here are just the ones I have experienced. So, if you are not interested in any of these, find other hand activities that will work for you. Here is a list I found with just some of the creative things you can do. The Curiously Creative
Take time to explore all the fun info here.

How in the world did I end up in arts and crafts?
Well, I never really had a true passion for making things until I was going through a time of grief and depression. I remember a doctor told me to get a hobby and I rolled my eyes and thought, "How could a hobby help me feel better? Here I am telling her how bad I feel and she is suggesting fun and play!!!! I just didn't get it!"
Sometime later, I did go to a few craft stores and walked around. I felt so overwhelmed with all the choices. I left feeling lost and uninspired. Then in 2006, I had a desire to make my own Christmas cards. I was happily surprised to find how the process was so relaxing and exciting. My spirits were lifted and my family and friends loved the cards they received. That's how my passion started.
After making cards and scrapbooking, I moved into drawing, coloring, painting and numerous other crafts. Over all, I have enjoyed over 20 different activities. Each activity has given me so much like peace, excitement, an outlet, self discovery, new friends, and a purpose. (To find my full bio Click Here )
In 2011, my husband and I started K. Simone Designs, our greeting card business. We have sold and donated over 380 cards since our beginnings. Also, I started my first blog, Inspired Me to share my creative journey.
God is so good to give us all these creative joys that uplift us and inspire others. Now, I understand the doctor's advice and grateful she planted that seed in my mind. I had come from a very creative family and never had any personal abilities in arts or crafts. But as I made those first cards, I now realize I was walking into an undiscovered, creative part of me. I am so grateful for how my darkest time opened the way to a beautiful light, ME.
Enjoy Inspired Me 411!
